Monterey County has an abundance of fresh produce, fruit and vegetable as well as fresh fish and good wine. The area in fact rivals the Napa-Sonoma Valley for volume of wine production. The Old Monterey Market Place and Everyone’s Harvest Farmers’ Market are excellent examples of the freshness of local products.
The Old Monterey Market Place is an all year round event including arts, crafts and a Certified Farmers’ Market with food stalls selling fresh produce. The event takes place every Tuesday from 4-8pm from April through October and 4-7pm from November to March.
Everyone’s Harvest Farmers’ Market is also an all year round market taking place on every Sunday from March through October from 10am to 2pm. The event offers fresh fruit and produce, plants, gifts, live music and children’s entertainment.
